How to send an Email Blast (aka Broadcast Email)

You need to have permission to edit your clubs Follow-Up FollowUp in order to send out a broadcast email.There are many options for you to send out a broadcast mailemail. for For example you have the option to send to your leads in just one type of your leads lifecycle i.e. all people on a Free Trail Trial to sending to all your leads or memebrsmembers.  So your first steep step is to define who you want to send the email to then select the correct email to edit in the Follow-UpFollowUp. All the emails start with "Email All Interested or current......Leads or members etc and are set to off.Broadcast Emails:

an Email Blast:

  1. Select the email you wish to send (ie: Email All Interested Membership Leads) and click Edit
  2. Add your email content (see below for explanations)
  3. When you are ready to send this email, change Send Tonight to Yes. This will send this email tonight at about midnightearly tomorrow morning. The time may vary based on which email you send, but it's typically about 3-5am.
  4. Click Save
    **Don’t forget to send yourself a Test Email to verify your changes – see below**

Send Test Email

Send this email to yourself or a co-worker to proof before it is sent to leads or members. This is the best way to verify that the email will appear the way you intended!

  1. Save the email first and then re-open it by clicking Edit
  2. In the Send Test Email field, enter the email address of where you want to send this test
  3. Click Send

Email Content and Merge Fields

Merge Fields allow you to personalize emails using the lead or member’s first name, staff names and phone numbers, etc. Enter (or edit) content in the white box.

To add a Merge Field:

  1. To create and edit a broadcast email: Select the email you wish to change and click Edit To add a new email: Click New Email from the Follow-­‐Up Links menu on the left
  2. Make the necessary changes (see below for explanations)
  3. Click Save
    **Don’t forget to send yourself a Test Email to verify your changes – see below** 

 

Common Bounce-back Reasons:

"An average bounce back rate to a list that is mailed less regularly can range from 5% - 13%. In addition, we've seen bounce back rates for first-time mailing lists as high as 20% - 30%."
