Objective/Purpose

The purpose of this document is to outline the requirements to integrate a VFP club with the InTouch Connector. The intended audience is the administrator or manager of the club that wants integration between InTouch and VFP.

About The Connector

The Connector is simply

...

a synchronization hub that handles all the communication between the two systems. The primary use case is that when a lead is added to InTouch, that lead will automatically be sent to VFP, preventing the need for duplicate entry.  Updates to the lead will also flow from InTouch to VFP via the Connector.  Please see the 'Connector Overview' document for more information

Requirements

The following attributes are required to turn on the integration. All of these will probably have to be provided directly from VFP: -

  • Version XXX is required to be installed to provide full integration
  • The VFP ‘AccountID’ number
  • A list of VFP ‘ClubID’ attributes.  For each club that you have, there will be a ClubID used to identify it within VFP.  There should be a matching InTouch club (with a club ID) for each one.  For example, if you have 3 clubs, you should have 3 VFP ClubID attributes, and three InTouch ‘ClubID’ attributes.

Understanding Data Integration

Understanding Data Integration

The InTouch/VFP integration allows for entry of new prospects in either system.  Prospects added in InTouch will flow to VFP, and prospects added in VFP will flow to InTouch.

Staff and Lead Sources

The InTouch/VFP integration offers synchronization of both staff and lead sources so that when prospects are added from VFP, the staff who is the sales person and the lead source can be sent to InTouch.  It is important to note that InTouch is the primary system for setting up staff and lead sources.  When a staff or lead source is created (or modified) in InTouch, it will be sent on to VFP through the Connector.  At that point, you should be able to create a

...

prospect directly in VFP and select the

...

sales person and lead source, and have that information come all the way through to InTouch

Limitations

  1. Updates to the staff owner and lead source of a prospect that are performed in VFP do not flow back to InTouch

Customer Actions

InTouch can only initiate your integration once we receive the following details:
