Kiosk Is Freezing Up



We have found that the cause of the InTouch kiosk freezing or being slow is due to lack of wireless bandwidth.

This can be due to an old router, improper router placement or too many users on the wireless network.

There are various free online tests to check your wireless speed. To perform this test you will need:

1. a laptop with Java enabled
2. the laptop connected to the same wireless network as the kiosk
3. the laptop in the same location as the kiosk ( on top of it would be ideal)

When the test is complete you will have a list of the Download Speed, Upload Speed, Latency and Packet Loss.

Upload speed is the most important and should be a bare minimum of  about .35 Mbps (350 kbps). There should be no packet loss whatsoever.
