Expire a Member

If a member cancels their membership, you can mark them as Expired in your InTouch Follow-Up (and renew them if they join again). When expiring a member, staff are prompted to select a membership cancellation reason. Clubs have the ability to view, edit, add and hide these cancellation reasons that appear in the dropdown box and select the order in which they appear (sort order). For clubs whose InTouch Follow-Up is integrated with ABC DataTrak, there is a Smart Match feature called Member to Former Member. If you have this feature enabled (this is a standard feature that very few clubs disable), when you cancel a member in DataTrak, Smart Match will automatically cancel that member in InTouch Follow-Up.

To expire a member:

  1. Find the member (with the blue icon) and click on their name
  2. Click Expire Member
  3. Select a reason
  4. Click Save
  5. The expired member will then have a red icon and can be found under Members > Former Members

To renew an expired member:

  1. Find the member under Former Members and click on their name
  2. Click Renew Member and confirm your action
  3. This will put the member back into their original follow-up schedule by keeping their original join date.
