Sources

Lead sources represent your advertising campaigns. They should answer the question "How did you hear about us?".

Where to Find and Customize Lead Sources

To Add
a
or Edit Lead Source
  1. Go to Admin > Lead Properties > Lead Sources
  2. Select New Lead Source from Go to the Admin Links menu
  3. In the Lead Source window, enter a Name (required) and Description (optional) Select the Sort Order (where you would like to the Lead source to appear in the Lead Source list)
  4. Select to Show
  5. Click Save
To Edit or Hide
  1. on the left hand side
  2. Click + New Lead Source to add a new one or select Edit on an existing (non-system) Lead Source
  3. Enter:
    1. Name
      1. NOTE: If you rename a source, it will also re-name the source on any existing record that uses it. For example, if you rename 'Radio' to 'Billboard', all contacts with the source Radio will now have the source Billboard and be counted in your reports for Billboard and not Radio.
    2. Description is optional and only shows as a reference for you under that Lead Properties tab (ie it's not a note for sales staff)

    3. Sort order is whatever number you choose (it determines where it falls in your drop down list. 0 goes to the top of the list. Sources with the same number show in alphabetical order.)

  4. Status should be "Show" in order to be 'shown' on the Lead Source dropdown list

  5. For clubs with Kiosks: If you want this new Source as an option on your kiosk for "How did you hear about us?", keep "Show on Kiosk" checked.

  6. Link to Contact Method (CM): The most common option is to select All, but you can select specific CMs for filtering if you have a long list of sources. This won't prevent a Lead Source from being associated to a different CM, but is rather designed to be a filter to narrow down sources listed when a CM is selected first.

  7. Save

To Remove (Hide) a Lead Source

Lead Sources can be hidden from available options in the drop-down box, but cannot be deleted because they are tied to reporting.

  1. Highlight Go to Admin > Lead Properties > Lead Sources
  2. Find the Lead Source you wish to changeClick hide and click Edit
  3. You can change the Description, Sort Order or click Hide if you do not want this to be an available option.

  1. Change the Status to "Hide"
  2. For Clubs with Kiosks: Uncheck "Show on Kiosk" (unless you want this Lead Source to remain as an option for leads to answer for the "How did you hear about us?" question).
  3. Save
