How to edit Text Messages Alerts
To customize your SMS Text Message Alerts:
Select the Follow-‐Up tab
Select Text Alerts
Select the text message alert you wish to customize and click edit.
Modify the content of the text message as required. Be careful when modifying merge fields
(e.g.: $!{user.firstName}), as these are pre-‐configured to automatically input your contact
information.
Insert additional merge fields (if desired) by selecting from the list of merge fields located on the
right side of the screen and clicking Insert.
Note you need to have permission to edit the Follow-Up if you don't please contact your administrator
How are New Leads Created by Text Messages:
Only a clubs that have a Twillio SMS text message number can receive text messages to create new leads and currently this option is only available for clubs in Canada and USA.
How it works? The new lead can text the clubs text message number with their first and last name and a new lead will be automatically created. The phone number that the text is sent from will be imported as the contact number. Then the clubs manager can assign these new leads to the sales staff.
How to Find a Clubs Text Message Number:
Again only clubs that have a Twillio SMS text message number can receive text messages to create new leads and currently this option is only available for clubs in Canada and USA.
- First logon to Kwik-E-Mart and search for the club you are looking for
- Scroll down through the config settings for the club looking for "TWILIO_VIRTUAL_NUMBER" you will find this 3/4 of the way down
- you can copy this number and provide it to the club
What Appointments Types have Text Messages Alerts
All calendar appointment types (Orientation, PT Session, Fitness Assessment....) have a SMS Alert but make sure the attendee has a mobile number in the system and the text message alerts are turned "On" from within the Follow-Up tab.
To turn on the text messages the user needs to have admin privileges
