My Appointments Are Not Showing At The Right Time

If your computer has the wrong time and date, your InTouch calendar may behave oddly. For example, If you book an appointment on a computer that has the wrong time or date, the appointment won't display correctly on other computers. It is it is important for the proper operation of InTouch FollowUp that your computer is set to the correct time and time zone.

How to change the date and time in Windows

To change the date and time in Windows, you need to be at the Windows Desktop. If you are in Windows 8, please go to the desktop before continuing with these instructions. Once at the desktop, double-click on the time that is displayed in your Windows taskbar. In Windows XP, once you click on the time, a small box will open up showing a calendar and the current time. If you are using Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows Vista you then need to first double-click on the time and then click on the option labeled Change date and time settings in the Window that pops up. Then click on the OK button. Once you click on the OK button, your changes will be saved and the computer will display the new time.

You will need to make sure that both the date and the time are correct, that the time zone is right and that the Daylight Saving setting is correct for your time zone.

Sometimes you made need to correct a faulty date in the BIOS or CMOS setup.

Please note that you should not change ANYTHING in the CMOS or BIOS if you are not completely comfortable with computers as you can cause permanent damage to your computer. Please contact a computer repair person or your IT department for assistance.

You can access the CMOS settings by pressing a key such as F10 or the Delete key while the computer is starting up. A message on your screen will say something like "Press F10 to access setup". If you don't see this message during start up check your computer's owner's manual. After you press the key, you enter the CMOS/BIOS editing utility.

In the main or system setup screen you should be able to see the date and time. Using your arrow keys, navigate to the date and correct the date. Once highlighted on the month, day, or year, press your arrow keys or your page up or page down keys to change the date.

These steps may vary for your BIOS.

Tip: If the computer loses or resets the time and date after it has been turned off the CMOS battery is bad and needs to be replaced. Please contact a computer repair person or your IT department.
